First Aid at Work (FAAW)

Who is it for?
A course recommended by the H&S Executive. Designed to equip the workplace first aider with the relevant knowledge and skills to administer appropriate first aid quickly and confidently in any medical emergency. It is required for some high-risk roles in a wide variety of professions.

The course is designed for professionals such as security personnel, close protection operatives, door supervisors and security drivers who are likely to encounter more serious trauma based injuries. It is highly practical as well as knowledge based.

All our trainers are from emergency services backgrounds and have vast experience of dealing with real life medical emergencies. This is evident in the way they deliver courses; sharing practical advice to ensure delegates feel confident and competent to deal with life threatening occurrences.

Each trainer has a teaching qualification as well as their first aid qualifications and have an in depth knowledge of delivering all types of courses to a wide variety of audiences.

Our lead trainer spent over 30 years as a front line police officer in London, dealing with numerous life threatening medical emergencies.

He delivers bespoke first aid training across the UK and abroad. He has a Level 4 teaching qualification and first aid qualifications that include FPOSi and FAAW and a City & Guilds NVQ in assessing.

He is accredited to deliver Qualsafe and Highfield courses in addition to a variety of other courses and is a member of the Association of First Aiders.

Other members of the team are made up of NHS trained pre-hospital clinicians and have years of experience in the administration of first aid. They all hold teaching and advanced first aid qualifications and have been delivering first aid instruction for several years.
